Analysis of the Narrative Bases of the Opponents of Revolution and Formation of Islamic Government in the Period of Occultation

  One of the dimensions of human life is its socio-political aspect. In this regard an important issue is the view of Islam towards the formation of government at the age of occultation. Referring to certain traditions, some believe that any kind of uprising and revolution prior to the emergence of Hazrat Qaem (Aj.) will be unlawful and add, “Any flag which is raised prior to the emergence of the Imam of the Age (Aj.), its leader will be Taqut”. This research made a critical study over the narrative bases of the opponents of the revolution and formation of government from the viewpoints of documents and contexts. It has come to this conclusion that only one, and with tolerance, two traditions ban the uprising and describe the rebels as Taqut; traditions from Malek Jahani and Abi basir.Both traditions have some flaws from the viewpoint of documents and are rejected contextually. They are not in agreement with Quran, necessities of religion, the Shiite idea of fighting against oppression, and the practical life of the religious leaders. These traditions, in the event of correctness of their References to infallible Imams (A.S.) provide for uprisings whose leaders instead of Sovereignty of Allah and Ahl al- Bayt [The household of the Prophet (pbuh)] introduce themselves as the promised Mahdi (Aj.).
